Mumbai Local(train)- Life line of Mumbai

India's first train route was from Boribunder to Thane way back in 1853 now one of the busiest routes for locals

Approximate 7.5million commute daily to work each train has a capacity 0f 1700 passengers each however 4500 travel in peak hours.

During monsoon, if the trains are delayed due to water logging on railways tracks half the Mumbai is at a standstill.

Getting into the train in peak his a big challenge morning and evening it is said that if a guy can survive in Mumbai can survive anywhere in the world.

Re: Mumbai Local(train)- Life line of Mumbai

@desi1 There are so many death reported in these overcrowded trains due to falling down while trying to get in or cross the rails.......I am so scared to get into the Mumbai trains. Only once I traveled ....and decided it is not for light-hearted people like me

@Indira_IllathuVala  yes lot of accidental deaths average 2 part day.

My last line is if a person can survive in Mumbai can survive any where in the world.
