The 100-year-old journey of Quaid-e-Azam's favorite dessert "Malai Khaja"

M. Suleman Sweets which is well known in Karachi, Pakistan. 

Founder of Pakistan  Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah  favorite sweet "MALAI KHAJA" a hundred year back  this sweet dish came from Bombay India. The 4th generation of the family,  sweet still make in Karachi and Bombay streets. Mostly Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah go there to eat this.

Sweet Dish Malai Khaja (Feb 10, 2021)

This sweet popular just for this Malai Khaja a hundred year back. Muhammad Ali Jinnah almost go to M.Suleman sweets to eat Malai Khaja. Still its more popular and favorite sweet in Pakistan. 

What's include in Malai Khaja:

1. Maida 
2. Sugar 
3. Khoya
4. Ghee
5. Egg 
6. Milk 
7. Cream
8. Crushed Pistachios

Mix Maida properly in a pot and make a design of it. Inside this put Khoya and Sugar paste.  Let them dry  and wait for ready to serve the customers and guests.

What include in Mawa Khaja:

1. Mawa
2. Sugar 
3. Bread Slice
4. Ghee
5. Fragrance
6. Egg
7. Milk 
8. Cream
9. Crushed Pistachios
10. Kewra

Blend all ingredients well and pour in kulfi then freeze it. While serving take pistachios.

Three types of Khaja is eaten in Karachi, Pakistan:

1. Malai Khaja

2. Mawa Khaja

3. Khoya Khaja

All of these khaja have different ingredients with different taste. If we Malai Khaja, it include Malai (Malai is made from when you overheat milk, the top of the layer become Malai). Mawa include dry fruits with same Mawa.  Same as Khoya. Its also different from Malai and Mawa. It include pour the milk and heat it max temp, then dry it.

Usually It is serve on different occasion. I love the taste Malai Khaja. it was delicious and sweet. Whenever you visit to Pakistan, must taste the dish Malai Khaja. 😍
