Question...
Does GoogleMaps has some kind of automated system to categorize businesses and locations ? Perhaps, they determinate it with "keywords" within the name ?
There are so many mistakes.
My other hypothesis is that some people in the general public are purposely screwing with the the datas.
opinions ?

Hi @PierJes
Those are good questions ..
And yes some people with poor mentality misleading others by giving wrong information..
Searching on a map for X location phone number then happily you dial it then got the answer : HELL, NO THIS IS PRIVATE HOME NUMBER ..
Peep .. peep .. peep
Leaving you boiling ..

@PierJes Most business have the categories set manually when someone add that location to Maps. If you spot any inconsistencies, you can help by submitting corrections to the location 🙂

I do.
Which brings another problem.
Some corrections are applied right away. That's good.
Some correction are left for approval. Most of the time, it takes forever.
On the long run, corrections are never made in those cases.
It's a real problem, in my opinion.

I know i have fixed a lot of things. I think most businesses info is taken from the yellow pages. Some businesses are not good about keeping their information up to date.
