My name is Subbu. I am a geospatial Analyst and I love to take pictures.
The biggest problem I have seen with any kind of mapping solution is not having reliable information or taking forever to reflect what is out there in the reality.
Google Local guides program addressed this issue by letting us share our knowledge with the local community and also with the rest of the world. This allowed me to update maps, share pictures of businesses, reviews of places and also most importantly hours of operations.
You can see my contributions from East coast to West coast and from Rocky mountains to Eastern shore beaches. I believe in quality and consistency. I have also dragged lot of my friends to do the same. I love to learn from peers in this program and share my journey with my fellow local guides. I do have some thoughts on using this program at global scale and I hope to see you all at Google local guide summit.
