Some fruits are indigenous and peculiar to some regions.

Most fruits, if left alone on a tree, eventually do ripen, especially if they’re not being yelled at.

Pineapple 🍍 (must be very ripe, not sour).

Soursop (scarce and really expensive)

Avocado 🥑 (can be expensive)

African pear (ubé) (seasonal)

Mango 🥭 (seasonal)

Beyond loving fruits, I am encouraging people to grow a variety of fruit trees. I am growing several at my place in Abuja. From sweetsop to passion to fruits, oranges, lemons, papaya, avocadoes, mangoes, star fruis, coconuts, and even black berries. I love the fact that many of these trees have dwarf varieties that can also be grown successfully in containers. Do I have a favourite fruit tree? Never! I love them all!😅

I agree with you @adaokoli planting is a very good idea, but this depends on the availability of space where one is living. I just moved to Abuja and noticed that many homes have backyard gardens. unlike Lagos where space is very essential.
