Family Tour in Malaysia in 2024

Last month I visited in Malaysia for the first time with family. We started our journey on 09th Feb from Dhaka Airport to Kualalampur. Surprisingly, it was one of the fastest immigration in my life without any hassle. There are still some issues in the airport management but they can overcome it by providing good service and positive outlook to the passengers. It was a six nights and seven day tour. Our earlier itinerary was quite wide and open but unfortunately we had to cut some plans after reaching in Malaysia.

First impression of Malaysia was fantastic as the roads, buildings, markets, transport, and other facilities are world class. The weather is tropical so it wasn't an issue for us. Besides, we went in February so night weather was marvelous. We stayed whole days in Kualalampur but visited nearby town areas and spots like Batu Cave, Putrajaya city, and Genting Highlands.

The most interesting thing in Kualalampur is foods. As Malaysia is a multicultural country, the foods varieties are spectacular. From local malay foods to Chinese, there are plenty of options to test your taste bud. Jalan Alor is a famous street foods area where hundreds of shops offer various types of street foods everyday after evening. The area becomes a happy place with different people and foreigners from around the world. We stayed in Bukit Bintang area so Jalan Alor was a few minutes walking distance from our hotel. We love the atmosphere esp. after the evening when the city lights are shining with bright and colorful. We enjoyed very much surrounding areas of Jalan Alor as a lot of things were happening like live music in the street, music from the shops, lighting etc.

We were in Malaysia during Chinese New Year. The whole city was decorated with red dragon, red lantern, and flowers. It was a spectacular time when we were visited Pavellion area where hundreds of thousands people gathered and celebrated Chinese new year. The whole city was vibrant with lightings and colorful decorations. We walked a lot and enjoyed every bit of moments. We were really happy to be there in such time.

We visited Putrajaya city which is an administrative capital though it is not yet built completely but the city looks like a very planned city with huge highways and future centric building. We visited IOU city mall which is a huge modern mall with a lot of shops including top brand shops. There is a food court where we tested thai foods which was yummy. Specially my daughter loved the chicken fry. We did some shopping also from this mall. Later we visited Putrajaya mosque which was one of the best thing I visited in my whole Malaysia journey. It is a spectacular mosque with beautiful architecture and design. A lot of muslims and non-muslims tourist visited the place everyday. I performed Asar prayer there and felt very happy. The mosque is built the bank of the lake which is very beautiful and calm. The mosque and the surrounding area are very much peaceful.

We visited Genting Highlands which is 60 to 70 miles away from Kualalampur. It is something like Las Vegas of Malaysia. It is a very fascinating place where you have to use cable car to reach to the top. There are number of theme parks, casinos, and other fun and entertainment activities available from morning to late night. We were in a trouble once we reached there as we didn’t buy return bus ticket. That's why we had to hire Grab which fare was four times higher than bus fare. However, we enjoyed a lot as there was a plenty of food courts with so much variety. We ate so many different types of original Turkish baklava. We wandered the area with joy and happiness. The main attraction was cable car experience and the walking inside the clouds.

It was a memorable tour in Malaysia with family. Malaysia is a very modern country. You can expect every modern facility in there. Kualalampur looks amazing in the night due to the glittering lights everywhere. Every foreign travel teaches us many things like the urban plan, different culture, foods, people, and the system. Happy travelling!

Re: Family Tour in Malaysia in 2024

One week is perfect to cover main tourist spots in KL and Genting though we felt that we could stay much longer but jobs won't allow me! Nice city to stay and even I was thinking I could make it my second home due to nice people and diverse culture and foods. You must enjoy every bit of time.
