The Ganga River is considered a holy river in India. It has religious and spiritual significance. People keep Ganga Jal(water of Ganga) at the place of worship. They take a bath in the river and also drink its water. We keep the holly water in our home and it never spoils for a long time. This is still true when the River Ganga is polluted enough. Many efforts are being made at the government and personal levels to make Ganga pollution free. An important effort in this direction has been made by Kanpur Ploggers. Every Sunday morning Kanpur Ploggers goes to a Ganga Ghaat (bank of the river), They collect plastic and other pollution content by the side of the river. They also collect the material for recycling and send it to the recycling center. The group has played a significant role in making Kanpur City a less polluted area. Kanpur Ploggers have organized 106 drives so far. My maps review about Kanpur Ploggers
