I have been using google maps for so many years however I became a google local guide quite accidentally. One fine day google maps asked me if I would like to give feedback regarding placed that I have visited - I opted for it and from that point it has been phenomenal. I have been regularly contributing to google maps through review, by positing pictures and giving feedback about places. It feels great to see when people benefit from my reviews and feedback. I feel myself connected and empowered being part of something as big as google maps. I am trying to be more active and looking to connect with other local guides in my community.
