Being a Local Guide

There are only a handful of Local Guides in the East African region but they are a dedicated bunch of people. I always feel inspired when I see other Local Guides' posts and photos because it gives me the perspective of the person on the other side of the lens or touch screen.

Sadly, I have not had the opportunity to actively participate in any local communities within my region but I love being a Local Guide and knowing that out there people are relying on my reviews and shares to make decisions on where to live, eat, work or shop.

What have you guys experienced? Please share with me....

Re: Being a Local Guide

@TimothyT it's really true that it'd it'd only a handful of us in Uganda or even EastEast Africa, but I really appreciate the priceless efforts we've put forward in helping the community in mapping our world. I hold meet ups in my campus for Local Guides but few of them turn up because we're small in number but we keep on going while encouraging other guys to also join us. Regards.
