500-years Traditional Religious Eid Fair

The Bengali nation's tradition is Bengali culture. And the smell of the fair is engulfed with Bengali culture.Sometimes the season, sometimes agriculture, sometimes the New Year, and sometimes the Eid has developed by Bengali fair.

An Eid Fair was organized in Bagha upazila of Rajshahi. Bagha upazila is located 45 kilometers away from the divisional city of Rajshahi to the east-south corner. For more than 500 years, For Eid happily enjoyed an extra joy they are organize Eid fair. People of different regions of Bangladesh are mixed with tradition in this fair.So this fair is very interested in people here. With the joy of coming to the Eid, the people of the upazila not only Bagha, the Eid-ul-Fitor traditionally offers an extra pleasure to the people of different upazilas around Eid. Even in border areas, whose relatives are beyond the border, they choose this time of year to meet each other.Those who live in different parts of the country also run away. Especially after the 15th Ramadan, the fair is organized.The fair begins with the permission of 2 weeks from the day before the Eid. but it stay over 30 days. For this fair, the lease of Waqf Estate was given Tk 20 lakhs.

Holy place Bagha of the teachings of Prophet Mohammed alias Shahdoula (R) and his son Hazrat Abdul Hamid Dinishmand (R) of the nobility of the nobleman Abba's family in the direction of religious ideals.On 3th of the month of Arabic Shawwal on the occasion of the Holy Prophet's birthday, religious festivals held on the holy Eid-ul-Fitr of Bagha Waqf Estate in the center of the Mubarak festival. The fair is known as Bagha eid fair. It is not known that there is such a big fair anywhere else in the country on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr festival. Although religious festivals, people of all communities came to the fair.On the occasion of the fair, about 5000 shopkeepers of different types of merchandise, arranging their shop, to buy and sell in the fair. Arrangements were made to show dolls Dance and differents type of circuses in this area. The products are sold day and sold till late night. Fairs are available in all types of sweets, baby toys, motors, iron products, wood products, rack, chair tables, dressing tables, cots, pails, shoemakers, and earthen pots.In the two rows of the main gate of the Masar, there are various types of toys, including cosmetic, which are available in the market.The Bagha College ground is full of bamboo, cane, steel, and wonderful things made of wood. Ironworkers and potteries brought to the fair a variety of things made of soil and iron. Natore's Banalata and Sadarghat traditions bring the attention of the visiting people.Country's leading political leader, poet, litterateur, singer actor And the photo of the players All the religious book vendors decorate the fragment of the store around the fair.

During the Khanka Ghar, Samarkwali, Marifithi Song, circus exhibition at the lottery school ground in the Eidgah field.Initially, the number of folks and the number of people are increasing in the evolution of time. Originally the fair is organized in the center of religious year.Religious fame does not have the opportunity to create any environment that strikes religious feelings. Eid-ul-Fitr's fair is meant for the people of this region.Thousands of men and women are coming to the end of the country to pray,Someone comes to Orosh to come and meet the fair and enjoy.The money that comes from the fair every year is spent on the development of the shrine .became interested in the festival.

How to reach It is located 45km to south east of main Rajshahi town. A person from his desired location may go there by bus or CNG auto rickshaw. For directions of Rajshahi main town- Bagha mosque see Direction .

How To Reach: Rajshahi District

It is approximately 261 km away from Dhaka. Bus, Train and Air Plane are available as transportation service from and to Rajshahi districts.

Transportation in Rajshahi is very good. There is bus service; taxi cabs, three-wheeler auto rickshaw and horse-driven tomtom are available to move within the city. Rajshahi is well connected to the rest of country through roads, air, rail and water.

There are two intercity bus terminals in the city. It takes about 5 to 6 hours by road to reach the capital. A number of bus services, including air-conditioned and non-air conditioned buses, are available to and from Dhaka. Bus services to other major cities and district’s headquarter are also available from Rajshahi.

Bangladesh Railway’s western zone head office is located in this city. Three Inter-City train services are operated by Bangladesh Railway, named “Silk City Express” “Padma Express” and “Dhumketu Express” between Dhaka and Rajshahi regularly. There are other inter-city, mail and local trains operated from here to connect Khulna city and other part of the country.

Shah Makhdum Airport is the primary airport serving the city. It is named after the Islamic preacher Hazrat Shah Makhdum (Rh.) is situated a short distance away from Rajshahi city. Domestic flights from Dhaka and Saidpur are available.
