Hi,
Maybe Maps team consider turning off 'suggesting places' (duplicates) during adding new place on the map?
Suggestions are... strange?
Little example:
As you can see - suggested POIs aren't even a bit similar to newly addes POI.
Category doesn't match, name doesn't match, address doesn't match (except city :)). Nothing is similar.
And is isn't isolated incitent. Sometimes algorithm's suggestions are just funny, but always are annoying.
I don't remember correct suggestion of duplicate POI.
