Currently there does not appear to be a mechanism for removing tags added to a post by another user. It seems like the owner of the post should be able to remove tags that were associated incorrectly or as spam. This will help ensure tags are used properly to organize content.
It would also be beneficial to have a default set of post tags (e.g. help, advice, maps, photos, meet-up, etc.) to prevent the creation of redundant tags (photo vs. photos vs. photography).

The Tag is removed from the reply immediately after edit.
I find that Tag is still listed in "Tagging" under "My settings".
I will wait longer and check again.
Edit: the Tag did go away after more time.
