Mapmaker we miss you so much

i am missing mapmaker. there are alot of feature missing in maps. i cant add roads like i used to do on mapmaker. i was regional lead on mapmaker but on google maps i am like nobody. what is this new policy of google that doesnt allow us to add roads directly without being reviewed.

i was regional lead back them when mapmaker was functional for crowdsource edits. why cant i add the roads like i used to do on mapmaker. google should select some of local guides for that particular job to edit roads like they used to do on mapmaker. i am missing that feature more than anything else.
