I have been a Google Maps Local Guide and have been sharing reviews, ratings and photos of many places across the world.
While sharing a photo to Google Maps, I found something is amiss. You do have the option to add geo location info to your photo as you click it, but later on while uploading them to the Google Maps app, there is no option to select the exact location by pinpointing it using a tear-drop marker.
I would also like to see a preview of the map location of each photo right inside the Google Photos app instead of manually going to Google Maps, searching for a location and then adding photos to it. If a preview could be added to the Google Photos app(photo>> Info or details) and an easier way to upload photos to maps, it would be of great help!
