Friends in Local Guides Connect

I met several people at a Local Guide event in São Paulo and the people I made friends with and found at LGC I clicked on the profile and found a "Friend" link that I clicked on.
Checking Forum Topics I found one that said I can find my friends in private messages.
Check "friends" on Local Guides Connect is for what besides?

Personally I love the "friends" feature as it allows you to see the latest post by your friends in one list.

If you not only "befriend" real friends, but also people that you like to read more from, it is a quick way of making your sellection on where to engage on the forum.

This is useful for sure.

But I would like to believe that this feature has some other function or that at least in the future.
