The dam "Benteng is located in Pinrang Regency and irrigates several large areas in several districts in South and West Sulawesi Provinces.
The Dam is one of the Dutch Colonial relics, built in 1939 where - at the beginning- is only a survey of the dam observed by Ir. Frama in 1927.
This facility is constructed in 1936 under the leadership of Ir.HM Verway and operated in 1940, the period Dutch colonial government.
it is 77 years old and has been functioning well until now.
