Together, we exceeded the Local Love challenge

As we shared last month, we launched the Local Love challenge in the United States in an effort to help local businesses keep their information up-to-date on Google Maps.

After announcing the kickoff, collectively, you met and exceeded our shared community goal in just five days! We increased our goal then from 100,000 to 250,000 and you helped us reach our stretch goal shortly after in only 18 days. 

Here’s the impact over 104,000 of you in the United States had on businesses in your community and beyond: 

• 450,000 total contributions on Google Maps
• 312,000 businesses updated
• All 50 states had businesses that were updated
