Thank you very much @AZ_2021 ! Have you visited, yet? The Botanical Gardens put on some neat light events in the cooler months, too. I bet it looks pretty cool for everyone flying into PHX being just off the flight path.

Thank you so much @Stephanie_OWL . The event has really evolved over the years. The biggest thing was the change to LED years ago, which allows for less energy usage and more creative displays. Also, changing the routes to have the least impact on the animals. There used to be people and kids running around all over the place, but now they keep to common areas, walkways between exhibits, and near nocturnal animals. I’m sure the monkeys are much happier.

The technology that has allowed for the drone shows is amazing. While I prefer fireworks, I enjoy the drone displays because of how much work and ingenuity goes into them. I hope you get some better weather soon!

Great photos @JustJake and I am sure the family really enjoyed it. We have a few locations that do similar things here in Canada, but I just haven’t visited, Yet. I don’t take a lot of night time photos either, I am going to have to experiment.

Thanks for taking some great photos.

@JustJake …thanks for sharing! The Cleveland Zoo, about 45 minutes from us, does a huge display like this also. @Mikeinthefalls has taken his mom to it in the past. They have “drive thru” tickets which is nice for the elderly or for those who don’t enjoy the freezing temperatures time of year

Love that my neighbor @JustJake . I have gone to the Phoenix Zoo but it’s been a few years. I haven’t seen the light show there yet- that looks fun. :sparkling_heart:

Wow, you are right- it would be a beautiful show when viewed from the plane above. :green_heart:

Its so colorfull @JustJake .

I will spent hours in this Zoolight with plenty of LED light.

I spent minutes to see each photos, that make 3 D imagery and look like the real animals/

thanks @PrasadVR for tagging me so I have an opportunity to see this beautiful photos.

Keep on contributing on Google Maps and here on Local Guides Connect.

Thanks, @BudiFXW . The 3D lanterns were new to me. When I got close, I could see they were all hand-painted, too. While I like the creativity of making recognizable animals from the lights themselves, these lanterns were very impressive artworks themselves.

Thanks for the referral, @PrasadVR .

@MelTG The Phx Zoo is definitely not big enough for a drive-through option, though they used to rent 4-person bikes that looked like golf carts. In Northern Arizona is Bearizona, which is a full drive-thru park with rescued animals. They get plenty of snow up there in the winter. No thanks.

@TravellerG Thank you so much for checking out my post and taking the time to give your thoughts. I appreciate it very much.

The light tunnel itself deserves a video. The colors and designs that moved from end to end were amazing. I decided to sit in awe with my kids and keep my phone away as much as possible, however, so no videos.

You’re right, this is a most helpful idea

Any reason by which the comments are switched off, dear friend?

The video was only uploading as a YouTube Short, and I was frustrated with trying to get it to load normally. It’s not a discoverable video; just for the folks here on Connect (and I was too frustrated to sort out the settings :joy: ). I’ll take all comments right here on the post!

Thank you, again, Sir.

Many LGs here cover dozens of posts in a very limited time…however, I believe that what I do for my friends should be genuine…

“… with my kids and keep my phone away as much as possible…”

Awesome! Thank you so much for reading my post, @Gurukrishnapriya . They grow the event every year, so four months is just putting things together but they start planning far earlier. This event brings in a lot of funding for the Zoo.
