Yes, you are right, “Flat Stanley” is an educational project. Stanley reached me a few months ago and I used it to show [part of] my country to a Californian kid.
The experience was so beautiful that I decided to use Stanley as my alter ego, to change the communication language of my post here in Connect.

It’s a great post you put out there to inspire people around us for sustainable future. There always a plan for me to visit Ooty and if possible I might travel to some places [ Ooty added ] . There’s a lot of NGO organization who contribute to international days such as environment day, biodiversity day, etc. But i want to point out People for planet run by wwf India [ they didn’t refer me to say this ] . They actually do volunteer services on international day across various cities mainly Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai and other cities.

What a great post @TravellerG sir, I am also a fan of greenery and mountains, water bodies where you can actually feel serenity.
Eco friendly places like this definitely encourage many to live sustainable life and clean and maintain the surroundings.
I wish to visit Yercaud one day, adding it to my bucket list.

Mi piace molto come hai introdotto l’argomento perché penso che alcune persone non diano ancora il giusto peso alle “giornate” dedicate ad argomenti specifici quindi è bene sottolineare come hai fatto tu che questa giornata ha il ruolo della comunicazione e della consapevolezza nel portare un cambiamento positivo nella mente del pubblico. Grazie per questo 
Spesso quando visitiamo dei luoghi di divertimento o di vacanza non facciamo caso ai dettagli e al fatto che questi luoghi possano arrecare danni all’ambiente o se al contrario lo rispettano il più possibile, ma anche se molto lentamente penso che la sensibilizzazione sull’argomento stia contribuendo a cambiare la visione delle cose per una buona parte della popolazione.
Il parco che hai presentato qui è molto bello, la foto di copertina è sicuramente la mia preferita ma sono molto incuriosita dall’albero della foto #9, non ne ho mai visto uno simile…
Immagino che l’ingresso al parco sia a pagamento e che al suo interno ci siano raccoglitori differenziati per i rifiuti.

I like the park, because it’s a way to spend time in nature by bringing families, making people aware of respect for nature. Thank you for this post and for sharing these beautiful photos @TravellerG
I think we need to develop an appreciation for nature. I am currently on vacation in southern Italy in a city by the sea. Every afternoon a group of teenagers (25-30) come to the beach, when they leave you see a lot of rubbish on the beach. There is something wrong with this behavior in 2023, something is missing that I don’t understand. The school needs to do more of the educational environment, not just theory but something more active like taking teenagers to clean the beach. Not just once a year, but more frequently….
