Loved your post about emojis and Japan…! It’s amazing how many emojis you found that represent the country. Makes me realize how visually unique Japan is.
Your photos are fantastic, especially the underneath view of Tokyo Tower. The different angles of Tokyo Tower are cool, and capturing the Tori Gates from both grand and small temples gives a great sense of their prevalence. Mt. Fuji is stunning too. Makes me want to visit Japan even more…! Who knew there was an emoji for a post office? Awesome creativity.
Thanks @TusharSuradkar for sharing your Japan travels through the lens of emojis! It was a fun and informative read.
Ya I noticed it @TusharSuradkar
@TusharSuradkar Wonderful info. Thanks for sharing.
Happy World Emoji Day and thank you for sharing this wonderful post @TusharSuradkar . I just realized that there are so many emojis associated by Japan! like you, I was privilege to explore Japan and enjoy many of its landmarks. There are some emojis associated to Indonesia (and many other countries which share similar features as well) like the flag, rice, beach, tropical fish, fruits and more…
Outstanding Pictures @TusharSuradkar
Japanese artist Shigetaka Kurita created the first emojis in 1999.
His work has influenced many people like me into the field of art.
Here are some emoji that I made in past , I haven’t shared it any where but this seems to be the perfect post for it.
Though they are not fully emojis as they have a lower body , but that’s the beauty of art , you have the freedom of creating anything you want…
The emojis look wonderful dear @Mayank_Ahir
I appreciate the creativity in expressing the emotions via the emojis
Just be careful about the use of the registered icons of Connect
Excellent article @TusharSuradkar . I thought this is so creative of you. I was today’s years old when I realized that emojis come from Japan and this was in part to your article. I never realized how many emojis there were that are Japan-specific. This is so cool how as you traveled there, you saw the emojis in real life like the Tokyo Tower . And now, when you type with those emojis in your messages- I bet they will also bring back the sights and sounds of those places. So glad to see you were able to venture out and explore Japan. Mt. Fuji looks so beautiful too!
@TusharSuradkar nuevamente sumando mas historia de Japón, es maravilloso leer la lectura del lugar!
Thank you for the wholehearted appreciation @AZ_2021
I did not realize the number of emojis from Japan until I typed :jap while composing a reply to a ‘World Emoji Day’ post, when the entire palette opened up as shown below:
That was the Eureka moment when I realized having traveled to several destinations from that list
From my travel across the US, I found only the Statue of Liberty finding a place in the emoji world
This one looks like a Cactus from the deserts of Arizona
American Football
The flag of course
The Teddy Bear is also looked upon as an American thing
And these could be considered American inventions:
The $ symbol appears on the bills, etc.
Finally, do you consider the Pretzels as uniquely American?
Thank you for the kind appreciation @Maximilianozalazar
Japan teems with interesting history and there is something to discover at every step.
Nice topic @TusharSuradkar Dada. We appreciate your sharing.
Excellent & clear images.
Emojis have become ubiquitous, without them it is difficult to understand text.
Emoji interactively make it easy to detect a user’s emotional state.
@TusharSuradkar This is very cool information. Looks like you had a great time travelling in Japan.
Adding few of Indian Emoji to our collection
Namaste, way of greeting
Auto rikshaw
Shankha
Saffron flag
@TusharSuradkar That is smart how you searched by :jap to quickly find all the results, and then you saw an entire palette.
Good find on the Arizona emoji!
I love pretzels and you are right- I do believe they are American just for the fact that they are pretty popular at carnivals and also at bars and ballgames (such as during baseball games). You just made me hungry for a pretzel; I haven’t had one in a while.
That is an interesting piece of information @Annaelisa
Also, funny thing about internationalization.
Pizza was introduced globally by the Americans, even though it was originally an Italian dish.
Same with Pasta
I and most Indians would know about Pretzels from the US only.
I haven’t seen much of those while traveling in Germany.
Perhaps because the Germans do not prefer ‘showing off’ like the Americans do.
Wow! Nice find @SaylliWalve1
I missed most of those emojis even after scanning the entire emoji palette several times.
In den USA sind ja durch Einwanderer sowieso viele Staaten vertreten. Internationaler geht es wohl kaum.
