Such a mouthwatering post commemorating World Dessert Day, @AdamGT . Seems the actual day came and passed me without notice BUT I usually try to make everyday dessert day after dinner 
. Although, I’ve been trying to limit sweets as of recently.
I’m a major donut guy and it is one of the go-to’s in the States in terms of desserts. However, my life was changed when I had the “cruffin” from Sweet Rustic Bakeshop in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
As you can probably notice in the name, it is a wonderful mix between a croissant and a muffin. Sweet Rustic usually has three flavors - guava and cheese, vanilla bean, and nutella. It is so addictive and the perfect match with a glass of coffee. The crust is flaky and buttery and it is stuffed (but not overstuffed) with the delicious flavor inside.
It is pretty hefty and easy to split between two people. I haven’t been in a while but I’ll use the holiday as reason to indulge.
