This touches many contributors feel at some point, but it really comes down to how we define recognition. If recognition is defined merely by material perks like receiving a pair of socks

, it will always feel underwhelming compared to the time and effort put in. But genuine recognition in this program isn’t only about branded swag; it’s about the inspiring impact made on the community.
