All my support for this new project from our Connect Moderator who entertains us and makes us reflect on the quality of contributions to Google Maps, as well as being a means of integration with friends from all over the planet … I already sent my form … could not stay without participating!

Hi all,
I need 3 Local Guides to participate in beta testing the next stage of these new leaderboards. Original I was after 3 Local Guide Beta Testers but I decided to increase this with the aim of having a wider range of Local Guide Levels in the testing.
It will require only minimal time and effort on your part. Because of the very tight schedule, I need responses by no later than 11 pm on Monday 26 July (AEST). If you have submitted your entry form and confirmed your participation to be on the inaugural Top 100 Local Guides leaderboards and interested to join the beta testing team then let me know by way of a comment below. So as not to confuse anybody reading other messages here, if you do wish to participate then please be very clear and say “yes I would like to participate in the beta testing” Further details will then be provided.

Thank you once again for coming up with an idea, and the ways to implement it, that makes us all strive in our guiding. I see many familiar names already on the form completed list. I will contribute my form, and see how I “stack up.” I can not contribute, because of other time obligations, as much as I’d like. However, thoroughly enjoy being part of the group. Again, many thanks for sharing your cleverness with us.

Thank you for your lovely comment @Cercis . I firmly believe that regardless of what level Local Guide you are, we can all learn and improve by this type of deeper look at our data,. Regarding contributions, well I have said this before, how do you climb Mount Everest? You take one slow step at a time! How do you get to be a level 10 Local Guide? One click at a time! Just go at your own pace, and at each step, each review, each photo, each edit etc, do it to the best of your ability and enjoy the journey. Do not compromise on quality because believe me it will come back to bite you later. I am sure that you have heard me saying this before, I wish I could go back to being a level 3 or 4 BUT with the knowledge I have now! This is what all these leaderboards are about. They are aim to show us all the importance of making quality contributions to Maps and by doing this we will reap the rewards many times over.

Thanks @Robert24 . Beta testing will require you to follow a very simple procedure and believe me it is really easy and as I mentioned, it will require little time and effort on your part but will help me test things before making it generally available to everyone. By you going through this procedure and with your feedback, suggestions and comments etc about it, will be testing it out and will help me to sort out any errors and make improvements before it will be available for use by everyone.
