I remember going to the local cinema when I lived in Cherating, the closest of which was in one of the malls in Kuantan.
Back in South Africa my husband and I rarely go to the cinema purely because it’s quite costly. They put a hefty markup on the food and drink and snacks at the cinema but one way around this is to buy your own supplies elsewhere and hide it in your handbag haha.
We will go make an occasion out of it once or twice a year.
We actually went to the IMAX at one of the malls in Johannesburg on the 1st of July to see the world screening of one of our favourite bands in concert, Soundgarden.
It was a great experience to have the concert showed with such fantastic sound.
But yea, I think that’s it for the next few months. Most of the time we prefer to download or stream as in the comfort of your own home you can do a lot more than the local cinemas permit.

You drive your car and sit in your car or outside in your parking area and watch the movies on a big outdoor movie screen. There are not many of these places left anymore.
