I’m at level 6 of local guides, but haven’t received early access to google’s features or any perks which are given at each level. Is there something special to do about it or Google can pulled back on the perks or benefits rendered to local guides?
@JeanRV Its unbelievable. I think you have broken all the records & I have never seen like this. Great work Sir. Keep it up. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful & inspirational experience. MGB.

First of all, excellent work. But I can make your life so much easier.
Back up all your phone photos with Google Photos.
Go to Maps on desktop.
Click “Your contributions”
Click “Photos”
Now automatically upload dozens of photos at once with locations automatically selected for you.
Hope this helps.
It works on some cases but if you shoot with dslr without gps it doesn’t. And if the camera has location services, the photos may go into wrong place or there may be cases when the place in the photos isn’t on the map at all, or the location data is just too far. And when you use the automatic feature, it is quite likely to post unwanted content, I have seen that too many times. Aand google photos limits the color correction options.
thanks for the experience you shared
I have been locol guiding for almost two years but I didnt spent a lot of time on that. Now I am feeling the passion and I have been looking for tips. Your post is one of the most helpful I have read.
This is great advice and I am going to start doing this. Thanks so much for taking the time to research and write it.
By far the best post I have ever read on this forum! Great work @Svein , from a fellow photography enthusiast like yourself, who loves taking high quality DSLR pictures. To me I see these pictures of a way of helping others and also a great way for me to showcase my pictures. Previously the pics will just sit on my camera, but now they are getting views and utilised by others.
Great insights. Many thanks for your contribution.
Very interesting strategy of photographing high-traffic storefronts. From my experience on Google Maps on what gets the top slot, it appears to me that Google is looking for 3 types of subjects. Storefront, atmosphere, and product (from the 3 distance perspectives like an isle, a shelf, and a few items). So when I go to photograph a place, I look in the photos to see if any one of those three is of low quality or missing entirely
Thank you for this post, you posted some quality photos.
