Welcome back, @Yaryman
I check the deltas of my 7,000 photos daily since early April and did not find a single exception to the 1% , as well as the 5+ rule.
It was updating quite regularly until Nov 19, stopped for ten days, updated once, now stuck again.
Click at “Feb 7” on top of the side bar. Then you each the initial post and can respond to it… Anyway, the performance of this huge thread sucks. Typing text is extremely slow.
I know the 1% and +5 rule are now the new norm for individual photos, but was noticing, ( not stating as fact ) that the 1% percent rule might also apply to total views for all pics.
IE, I am currently at 29.926 million total views for all my photos. My next total views update won’t happen until I acquire another at least 299,270 new views.
Again, I am just noticing this, but is seems my total views would update more often.
Oh, I misunderstood your question. I don’t think so. Before Nov 19, it was updating sometimes more than once a day. The ten day pause seems to have effected everybody for the same dates.
For now, I did not see any other comments yet, but noticed the last update was on Nov 27.
But giving it a second thought:
The total views reflect exactly the sum of all single views of at least one day before. So the “rule” automatically applies to it as well … ? Unless I am wrong now.
The “ten day pause”?
Guess I am out of the loop.
It seemed I was getting total all picture updates every other day or so.
But I haven’t been paying too close attention.
Just noticed my last total views update was several hundred thousand photos.
( I am only getting 300K to 400k views per week )
As I am closing in on 30 million views, I paid a little more attention.
We shall see how big my next update is.
Can one reply to this thread without replying to a specific person?
Thanks for pointing that out. I didn’t notice it in Wilfried’s reply.
So I have been on internet chat boards for maybe 25 years, and have never seen one
with a reply function that required you to start at the beginning of the thread.
Possibly there might be other ways to do so @Yaryman. It just came to my mind since I not did know a better solution yet.
Others already suggested, if we really want to address one or more specific user(s), we should continue to use the @ notation to make it more clear. I think, this is a good idea and the trace back to the original response is helpful in many cases, but not always.
Thanks @TerryPG to point it out. I think, I made the mistake to write my response in several edit steps and @Yaryman saw only one of the first parts. Anothinger thing worth to remember …
Well, so much for my theory that total views of all photos will only show an increase when there is a 1% gain. Just got my latest update, it was about 170K views.
A 1% gain would have been close to 300K views.
It appears my total views updates are about 3 days or so apart.
@Yaryman, after I saw updates to the total views daily for several weeks or months until Nov 19, several users including my self reported there was no change until Nov 27 - so, it was only eight days. Apparently also the graph on the mobile did not move, but I did not check it frequently.
That’s what I called the “Ten days pause”
Terry, my Star Photo decreased slightly at the time of the crash, then increased to 2,137,896 afterwards. It has been at that figure from March until now.
Independent of the February 7th fiasco, my Star Photo was already a “red star”, down from thousands of views per day, to only 200 views per month. Assuming the new 1% rule to be correct, i need to have another 21,379 additional views before my displayed number changes. At 200 views per month, that will take 107 months or nearly 9 years to happen, so there isn’t much hope for me.
Thanks for mentioning me in your comments @Rednewt74 . Do you have any idea what could’ve caused the reduction in your Star Video views? I hadn’t seen that phenomenon since the time of the February crash.
Compiling my spreadsheet stats yesterday, i noticed higher % increases on my top videos than on my top photos, and less zero-deltas on videos than on photos. Thats a November improvement for me. My thoughts - the top photos being older, have high total views over time but low current viewership, so the 1% increase is hard to attain. The top videos are a lot newer than the top photos as i only started video in the second half of 2023, therefore the numbers are still low enough for the monthly increase to be above the 1% threshold.
None whatsoever!
Of course it is remotely possible that I entered last month’s number incorrectly, but I have been double checking and copy and pasting from entry fields to my spreadsheet. It is disappointing, but I am not overly concerned unless other numbers start to tank. I really think it is some kind of fluke.

I glanced back through this thread and couldn’t find where (at least) one of you were asking about the highest number of views that we got after Feb. 7. So I went through and did some math.
Since Feb 7 I have contributed 180 media items.
I have listed the top 10 performers (about 5.5%) of my total. Of these 10, 8 are videos, Below 50,000 views I scrolled through and found another 11 photos & videos that ranged from 25,000 to 36,000 with a total of about 319,000 views
The table below has the links to my top 10 media and the totals.
Well it was until I found that I couldn’t copy links into a table , Just the text. Really annoying.
To see the table with links click here. Lifeless table is shown below
Very interesting. Just scrolling through, I found two that surprised me when I originally posted them - now 91,288 and 56,113. Then another hardware store with a 38,933 and a 23,033. Other than that, my normal high across the range is between 6,000 and 9,000 views, with a lot below 2,000.
Since Feb 7 I have contributed 1,465 photos, no videos
The top 10 are bit boring, but interesting anyway. As you can see in the table below, among the top 20, there are ten from the same venue posted at the same date, a freshly opened tourist attraction, where I was among the first to post pictures. They all got thousands of views immediately, but no increase after some days. Interestingly even the recent takeouts show only a fraction of those numbers.
So, I show the top 19 in the table below (six regions in three countries)
Pasted from Excel (and learned, before doing so, enter an empty line!):
I also wasn’t able to add links to table cells. The syntax link seems to work for a link inside a table cell, but the link is not underlined, instead the mouse pointer turns to a hand when hovering over.
BTW, I have the impression, posting responses in this monster thread, tends to be extremely slow.
Here are my numbers for 2024, it was something I was already tracking, so didn’t take a lot of time.

Today it has 170,547 views
