@TravellerG @Gurukrishnapriya Street View as you view it is working correctly.
If you are using āLive Viewā walking navigation (this is not Street View per say, but uses the SV data for walking navigation and orientation), ie, based on your screenshot, certain features are highlighted to help you with walking, and itās meant to keep you focus on your walking and not distract you, so you can focus on the road and not on the screen.
When using āLive viewā walking navigation, stop walking, hold the phone upright to find orientation, and once you have your direction, put down the phone, it will only show direction, and you focus on your walking, and not on the screen. Then if you need to orient your direction again, stop walking, hold up the phone upright, and the screen will show up again.
Itās a feature, not a problem. Hope this helps. Itās meant to prevent accidents of people accidentally walking into holes or dangerous spots, but forcing people to focus on the road.
Hope this helps. Excuse my reply if I misunderstood your issue.
Watch this recording below. You will see Maps will force the screen to blank [forward to around 00:01:45 into the video] when you are walking. This video was recorded late 2020, so the layout/design may be a bit different.
Yes I could understand what you explained @StephenAbraham
As you said it is good to focus on the walk path, instead on phone and hence this feature. Thanks for your wonderful explanation. Very good. Thanks @TravellerG Sir for directing this to Steve. I got my doubt clarified.

Hello friend @TravellerG I wished you to tag me in this post to share my talk as I am a Street View Shooter as you know.
Well, congratulations to Indian people to start the new Maps contribution.
Question: why wasnāt a Street View feature on Google maps in India before? Do you know the answer? To me I donāt know really!
Why do you think these 360 photos are a privacy concern or a vilolated and want to report them ?
Can I see one please?
Thank you for the news
Hello, my dear friend @OSAMA_1
āā¦congratulations to Indian people to start the new Maps contributionā¦ā
Thank you.
Question: why wasnāt a Street View feature on Google maps in India before?
Govt of India never wanted Google to capture Street View for the reason of Privacy/sensitive areas. Now an Indian corporate has covered this & hence collaborated with Google, as per Govt. guidelines.
āā¦do you think these 360 photos are a privacy concernā¦ā
I donāt think there is a privacy problem in public areas - defence areas & other sensitive areas are to be avoided.
Here is one of my 360 shots from Childrenās Seat, Yercaud - Here
Thanks for your valuable companionship.
PS:
Sorry for not tagging you.
Wish you all the best, dear @Trail_blazer
Yes, you can also reach our @OSAMA_1 for any doubt in StreetView photography.

Thank you for replying @TravellerG
I checked the photo, there isnāt any violation committed
@TravellerG Tried Street photography as you told me but the video takes forever to post and in the end they all fail. File is corrupt something like that the message reads. I tried multiple files and cleaned video but nothing works. So as of now i have stopped trying will see in future.
Iām so sorry to hear this, LG @Trail_blazer .
I can understand your frustrationā¦
I have also learned that certain Mobiles have this problem - some others work very smoothly though.
Please try with another mobile when your time permits.
All the bestā¦
