@AnuragB Having reflected on it further, there’s another limitation that I see. As a Local Guide, your rank is publicly displayed passively without any effort from users to actively seek to share it - it’s on display to the world any time you rate or review a place and other people reading your reviews see this. In that sense it’s very similar to Trip Advisor or perhaps other forums where your rank is shown to anyone you interact with.
Crowdsource on the other hand is an app where you don’t publicly interact. Your lone contributions are hidden to others unless you choose to actively share your badges through the ‘Share’ feature. I suspect many people won’t make an effort to do this, either because acquaintances won’t be interested or because it could come across as hubris to do so. For this reason too, I think there needs to be additional incentivisation. If rewards are limited to badges that others aren’t even likely to see, there just isn’t the payoff for doing the work other than the sheer love of it.
I would hasten to add that despite this, I personally think Crowdsource is a good thing on the whole, and will continue to contribute to the project.

@KamrunnaherK , the Pilot badge is for offline use (such as when going through a tunnel, or in a flight, or when you simply don’t have data access etc). A simple way of emulating that - just put your phone in Airplane mode and then use the app
