Cheers @AdamGT , had a check through and all looking good to my eyes. This is my favourite leaderboard set : ))) something for everyone in here, and I get to learn some flags to haha :ok_hand:t2::ok_hand:t2::ok_hand:t2::ok_hand:t2::ok_hand:t2::+1:t2::+1:t2:

Captions are not available any more so that one might be fixed in stone now just like Facts checked.

Thank you for your appreciation an comment @Peadar. To get the discussion started I do like to add a comment after posting all the leaderboards but sometimes a little exhausted and time poor I leave it to others like you to get the ball rolling so I thank you in this instance for doing so. Did I mention a change coming  Nothing is set in concrete yet but we must always keep our minds open to possibilities. In the case of the star Leaderboards, if they no longer serve any purpose or have any value/benefit, or Local Guides do not update their star data then we need to ask the obvious question!

The Country based Leaderboards are a favorite of many @anon24291235. They are certainly the most comprehensive and cover all the metrics of most of the other Leaderboard series but by country. So with Local Guides from over 100 countries, you can think of the Country Leaderboards as being 100+ sets of each of the other Leaderboard series!

Very valid point you raised @anon24291235

And for some of us, that makes it one less way to earn extra points towards the next LG level.

@tony_b , @anon24291235 ,

As strange as it seems, last week while on the road, I was browsing through the app on my iPhone and found an area “Check the Facts”, so I clicked on it, and it asked if I could confirm some ‘stuff’. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the time to walk around and confirm, so I closed it. Back in my photo shooting days, and learning all I could about this fantastic group of individuals at Local Guides Connect, I searched my app from end to end, only to find that one needed an Android phone in order to confirm…and is why I was so taken back when I notice that this feature was now enabled on my iPhone. Captions…I noticed that I can’t find the place to add what my food items are called anymore, but CAN answer a dozen or so questions about the establishment I MAY HAVE visited over the past couple of days. I guess CHANGES are happening…or they’re just testing again. - Steve

BTW…I HAVE been watching and reading, just not participating, as life sometimes gets so busy, they need to focus on the main events, and pause on the more enjoyable things. Hello to all my Connect friends… @Rednewt74 @abermans @TerryPG @WilfriedB (and the guys in this thread)

Good morning Steve, thank you for the greetings! Also, hello from Germany

Since I don’t have an iPhone, I don’t know, if this applies to you too what I see on Android:
In order to reach “Add food items”, you need to tap the turquoise button “More ways to share experiences” (don’t know the exact words for the English UI):

However, I saw many times this button appearing only for a couple of seconds. Then I need tap “Explore” and “Contribute” again to let it reappear. This happens most frequently with my very old Android phone, but occasionally also with the newer one.

After tapping the button, you see:

… and can slide the tab bar to the left, to see some more options.

Having said that, I realize while being able to tap the button “Add food items”, recently I only see “All done” even though, I did add food items (from the desktop) …

Good to know you’re still around @shunsader
I know you went quiet for a little while, but when you’re active you are very focused and intense.

Phased rollout, I guess @TerryPG

I still don’t have the Captions option restored

Works for me too, @tony_b , but I’m quite sure, I tried yesterday morning and did not yet.

@TerryPG that’s good to hear, hope I get the function back in the next few days maybe :flexed_biceps:t2:

To @AdamGT

Your response has been playing on my mind, I have always helped others,
My job I suppose
in everyday life as long as I know,
& hopefully you can confirm that extends to me being a Local Guide,
I didn’t ask for it,
I just fell off the fence into it,
To help is to love no matter

I’m currently trying to get my email up & running again (system asked) through takeout

Times are definitely a changing,
We need & want our rain :cloud_with_rain: back in Éire, to phrase a pun
“We are happy when it rains”

As best I can I’m looking for the little things that matter & effect changes on my part to support

I’d gladly give 100 million views+ more for it
As help comes at no cost to me

A guide to me doesn’t know she/he is one

That said your T1000 makes it competitive & inherently addictive

Love to all

Peadar

T1000 ah now is quirky thinking

Is that like what the Germans refer to as the earworm. Perhaps @Annaelisa or @WilfriedB could comment here.

That’s a good thing

And that is precisely how many of us got into this @Peadar

Exactly!

I can’t help with that but perhaps someone else her can!

They most certainly are!

I’m pleased to hear that. One day, should we ever meet face-to-face, ask me what makes me happy

Yes we should all help eachother and grow together to become better and better.

Like the Local Guides program itself, yes the Leaderboards are inherently competitive and addictive and deliberately designed to be so but all in a fun and competitive way.

Hmmm well a few times some have suggested we should just have one long Leaderboard of the Top 1000…it would be a very long post, lots of scrolling and to my mind not so useful.

Correct @AdamGT after listening to some music and repeatedly hearing it in your mind, is what we call "Ohrwurm":ear::snake:. Certainly could also be applied to words or phrases heard or read.

Hallo @Peadar kannst Du auch die irische Sprache und wenn ja wäre es schön wenn du ein paar Zeilen schreiben würdest.
Ich würde gerne sehen was das Übersetzungsprogramm daraus macht

Thankyou @AdamGT sir. After a long time, my name is mentioned in one of the list :innocent: .

Lieber Freund @Peadar war das jetzt alles in eurer Sprache?
Auf jeden Fall ist die Übersetzung großartig gut, besser als aus dem englischen :+1::folded_hands:
Danke dafür
