Well done @Ssiddharth2000. Your photo is interesting from many respects for example, I would say that most Local Guides would not take the photo from that distant. I would say that most would take the photo from much closer.
Always reading the captions, my first questions was, what is the relation of Jal Mahal to the similar sounding “Taj Mahal”? The first answer is provided by the distance, from which @Ssiddharth2000 took the photo: it is certainly a much smaller place.
You are right @WilfriedB The photo is taken from a distance and certainly the scale of the Jal Mahal is nowhere close to the Taj Mahal. In the Hindi language, Jal means water and Mahal means palace. This structure was created as a pleasure palace for the rulers of that time and it was surrounded by a body of water from all the sides, hence the name Jal Mahal.
Appreciate your insights on this photo
Yes I took another photo from the distance you mentioned @AdamGT and it would have been a great shot as well. But the reason I chose to upload this photo to Maps was that I wanted to highlight the overall environment in which this structure was originally built. This palace was surrounded by a body of water from all sides to keep the place cooler during the harsh summers. Through my photo, I wanted to highlight how it looked now even though the water has all but dried up.
Thank you @Annaelisa
Yet another message transmitted by your distant photo @Ssiddharth2000 :
Left and right of the access path, you see the bed of the former lake.
You got it right @WilfriedB
@Ssiddharth2000 @WilfriedB
OK so now the puzzle is solved. I did mention the artificial lake in the caption but now you have explained the reason for your distant shot. Well done you.
Yeah… at 82
Congratulations @MoscowMani. I’m at #93.
Terima kasih pak @AdamGT saya masih masuk dalam papan peringkat bulan ini.
saya masih penasaran untuk rata-rata views ini. apakah ada yang bisa membantu saya untuk melihat nilai saya ya?
Average Views/Reviews Leaderboard
Leaderboard #216

tidak ada nama saya disini, bearti rata-rata saya pasti dibawah nilai 1,920
mohon arahannya,
terima kasih ![]()
Well according to your data your average is 893 views/review @doni_hariadi
All this just goes to show the impact of the snakes & ladders way that the Leaderboards operate. Because of the number of new participants (5 or 6) above you who joined in April, from highs of #67 and #78 respectively in March you dropped to #74 and #84 - approximately the same position relative to each other. Then with 2 new participants joining in May you dropped to #84 and #95 respectively but once again note that you maintained approximately the same position relative to each other. So then if we look at June you are at #82 and #93 respectively so I conclude that you have maintained approximately the same position relative to each other for quite a few months now ![]()
Terima kasih pak untuk bantuan jawabannya

Thank you, @AdamGT, for the Review Leaderboard. I am very happy to see my name on this list. The cover photo is truly a great shot by @Ssiddharth2000. Welcome to all the newbies.
Interesting analysis @AdamGT. So we haven’t gotten any worse, but better dudes have come along who have a greater focus on Reviews than we do. With my limited posting of Reviews, I’m only present on this board because you have a slot for Review info on the monthly Data Entry sheet. While I’m experiencing passive growth of the type known as Organic Cumulative Growth, there are other LGs who are actively making new Reviews and experiencing Exponential Growth from a rapidly increasing baseline.
Yes that’s precisely what the brief analysis shows @tony_b. Our tracking of reviews is fairly new and started when @Julie_A posted How to track your review views back in October 2025. At the time, I was particularly interested in her statement that
This got me thinking, like photos and video, how often are our reviews viewed? Trying to track one’s “star” review is difficult however, while not in the millions like star photo or star videos, I found this one.
What are we to see here @AdamGT? On desktop I see “This review is no longer available”, while on mobile it says “Unsupported link. Google Maps can’t open this link”.
That’s weird @tony_b/ I just tried the link and landed as expected.
