Nice observation. You have identified the odd man out. It may be Beet root Pachadi, I hope and TravellerG will come to my rescue.
@RavindranK Thank you am waiting for TG Sir reply
What a vibrant onam
Belated Onam wishes, @TravellerG sir.
I love all the dishes, especially would like to taste Pulissery, which seems to be the south Indian sister of ourKadhi or Kadi.
Wonderful arrangement of flower decoration, sir; I loved it.
Thanks for sharing with us.
Cheers!
Lovely written @TravellerG
“…those 10 days with festive fervor. …”
You are extremely correct my dear friend, @RavindranK
Of course, Onam is a festival feeling and not an event!
Thank you very much for your kind compliments about my post.
Most sincerely,
Vanakkam, dear LG friend @TTRaja …
Happy to note that you enjoyed the post and found it informative.
Thank you for your kind feedback, which is very important to me.

Hello dear LG @TTRaja ,
If you don’t TAG, the other LG won’t get any “Notification” that you have responded to.
How to TAG: Simply by typing the symbol @ before the User Name of an LG (as I have done above, to you), you can send a notification (TAG) to the other member. Ex: if you need to TAG me, then type @ followed by TravellerG - then I will get a notification - for more details, click 'Here’.
I eagerly wait for your comments and remarks, dear @TusharSuradkar
You are such a person who goes through the post and respond systematically… Thank you very much for your continued support and guidance.
Very happy to note that you enjoyed all the photos…

Thank you so much, dear @Shubhu1 ,
You have been very liberal in sharvering compliments about the post - family happy that you could understand more about Onam through this article.
The name of the pink dish in Malayalam (in South Kerala) is Khichdi ; I understand that this has a totally different meaning in Hindi.
Kichadi: A yoghurt-based salad with grated vegetables (here beetroot as the main), garnished with mustard seeds and curry leaves. (the pink dish).
Hope you are happy with my answer.
Regards
@TravellerG sure will try all of it when I visit south india in future .
Thank you so much for sharing so many compliments on me & my wife, my dear friend @Annaelisa …
Fortunately, with blessings from people like you, my daughter is an artist and a good dancer…she sings also… The same way, my wife is a good cook and she also enjoys cooking for others - that is how our family enjoys Onam.
I shall convey your regards regarding the Onam pookalam to my daughter and also regarding the food to my wife.
Once again thank you very much for your detail response.
Regards with gratitude,
“…Praying to waheguru ji bless you all…”
Thank you so much for your kind blessings - that is ultimate for us, most dear @RosyKohli Ji.
Wow… Onam meals with Poori, etc is new to us - special thanks for including that shot - is that lemon rice on the leaf, next to Paneer Curry? please… these are localisation of Onam Sadhya - felt very happy.
Ganapati Bappa and Satyanarayan Puja are great events - happy to note that they served food on banana leaf.
Thanks once again for your detail response.
