Hi @RahmatHarmanP , it’s been my dream to have CFD in Jakarta, lol. Thanks for capturing that awesome picture! Well, to be honest, I sometimes join the exercise in Malang’s CFD. In another occasion, I just come to CFD, walking around, grabbing some foods and going back home, lol. However, I like to come CFD if I have a time. It’s been always fun to meet people and take their pictures! ![]()

Halo Te @JuwarniPawuh , aku belum pernah ikut acara Batu di hari minggu selain saat MUN dahulu. Semoga kapan-kapan bisa datang dan berkunjung ke rumah lagi ![]()
@NunungAfuah thanks for sharing your CFD experiences with us. I love your photos as well. It shows that CFD can bring the community together while raising awareness about how much we rely on cars and how we really should reduce our use on them.
It looks like the event was a great success for Malang!
Hi @Shirley , I’m glad that you like it. As my experience, it’s great event for weekly CFD in Malang. They seem well organized holding this weekly event. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take some of food streets you might try during CFD (well I forgot about it, lol). I guess you need to visit weekly Indonesian CFD or Sunday’s market some day, and I will be glad to guide you as well ![]()
@NunungAfuah : One day, I’ll visit you in Malang… =D

Wow!! CFD concept looks cool. Hope Indian Government adopts this amazing concept. BTW we have cycle and fitness rallies on weekends.
I like the man distributing free newspapers and should be encouraged more and more such that maximum gets benefited through it. Delman riding, Martial arts, Music performance, skating and food forms awesome atmosphere to hangout with family and friends.
Thanks for sharing @NunungAfuah
Hola @FaridTDF , that Iguana girl is the most impressive person I met during CFD. I bet she has many another iguanas in her house ![]()

Hi @FazeelUsmani I’m glad that you like it. In some cities of Indonesia, car free day is weekly event that holds for about 3-4 hours in every Sunday morning. For special occasions, local government may invite people to join their fun walk with many gifts as rewards. BTW, cycle and fitness rallies on weekends are great also!
Wooow @NunungAfuah this is amazing! I didn’t know there was a car free day somewhere in the world, now I know Indonesia celebrates one! It’s such a good initiative to give up cars and enjoy other transports like a bike or roller skates. I’m sure it’s a very good place to go with children, the photos you’ve taken capture their happines in a very pure way.
Thank you very much for sharing this with us, it would be great if every city had a car free day, very beneficial for everyone.
See you around and happy guiding ![]()
Hi @ValeriaA , I’m happy that you like this post. Yes you’re right, it will be great if every city has their car free day. No need to worry about spending weekend for kids ![]()

This is why i always missed this city, the warmth, the hospitality, the friendship. Such a good article, two thumbs!
Hi @skitskitboy , I’m glad that you like it. You’re definitely right, this city has a great memories to think about when we’re already left out. ![]()
Hey @NunungAfuah ,
I don’t know why I see this so late. It’s a great post! The people from your photos have such a good energy. Also, I think it’s awesome that there’s a car free day in Malang. There’s no such thing in Sofia where I’m from. But love to see this happening here even once a month.
Thanks so much for sharing!
@NadyaPN I’m happy that you like it. It’s a weekly event held by local government of Malang, and many cities around Indonesia. I like to spend my weekend visiting to Car Free Day as well. Someday, you may visit Indonesia and try it ![]()
That’s good idea
Next thread I’ll try to explore Blitar City walk
Sure @Jee ! I’d love to read it first when you have made it. Let me know for your next post ![]()
Great post @NunungAfuah ! In San Francisco during the weekends at Golden Gate Park, The city closes parts of the Park to traffic (that is cars, buses, trucks) so that people can walk on the streets with their children and/or dogs or roller skate, skateboard, run, cycle etc.
Definitely, when you come to San Francisco this October, you should visit GG Park to see and experience this for yourself and “people watch.”
Cheers,
Karen
