Like @SholaIB said we have many African fabrics that are really good. Like the one in my avatar is called Ankara I guess it is originated from Ghana. I like your fabrics and I would love to sew one in my Traditional way.
Thanks for tagging me. HAVE a great weekend!
I am very much glad that you liked my post @TravelerProdipta . Nakshi Katha has a history more than hundred years and we are proud for this unique design pattern. Stay well. Regards.
@MukulR Best wishes for you.
I am really glad that you like this post @Nyainurjanah . Batik is also available in Bangladesh and it is very much popular to girls for their dresses. Thanks a lot fir attaching amazing image of batik printed fabrics. Regards.
@MukulR Wow, these Nakshi Katha are really beautiful. Like I said long time ago in one of you posts, things made by hands are things made by heart. Thank you for sharing this interesting content and nice photos of Nakshi Katha with us.
@MukulR you’ve described about Nakshi Katha very well… I loved reading it till the end… Some traditions are common irrespective of religion and this is a perfect example of it. Seriously you’ve written it quite well. Very good Mukul.
I am very much glad and feel honord that your mother like the photos of Nskshi Katha @sweetnovember99 . The photo you attached is really beautiful. I love it very much and I hope other local guides will also like your photo of the Nakshi Katha. Thanks for sharing the nice photo.
You are most welcome @MukulR , and wait for your next post.
I love the words “things made by hand, made by heart”. This is absolutely right @Ant_Bad_Yogi . Thanks a lot for your nice comments and for liking the post. Regards.
Thanks a lot as always @PritishB dad. I am very much glad that you like my photography and writing that always inspire me a lot. I am sorry for my late my reply as I was busy with the #bdlg #meetup150. Stay safe. Regards.
@MukulR So nice post. You have studied the theme really great!
The photos of Nakshi Katha are wonderful! Hard and interesting work of your women.
I could never imagine working in the street, just on road. It’s surprising for me. Have they laid something under the cloth?
Sewing and writing on the Nakshi Katha, both are hard @OlgaKlimchik Sewing a Nakshi Katha needs an open space. They lay an extra sheet of paper or plastic under the Naksi Katha while they sew it so that it does not get dirty. Yes, it will be hard for you to sew a Nakshi Katha with a hand needle. It takes patience and skill. But I think you can sew an handcharchief with Nakshi Katha’s design stitch. Thanks a lot for your nice comments. Regards.
