The Magic of the Wheel: My Pottery Class in Andretta Village

Yes! Last year, I visited Khurja, a lesser-known town near Bulandshahr, famous for its pottery and ceramics. I explored workshops and warehouses, watching local artisans at work, although I didn’t try pottery myself. It was a fascinating experience! Your post brought back those memories. I’m also sharing my post, “KHURJA THE CITY OF POTTERY” if you’d like to have a look.

I had the opportunity to visit the Sanskriti Kendra Terracotta Museum, where I learned about the beautiful art of terracotta for the first time. The highlight for me was the magnificent Ayyanar Horse display in the open museum. I also discovered that Gorakhpur Terracotta, a traditional Indian craft with a GI Tag, is truly remarkable.
