The Magic of the Wheel: My Pottery Class in Andretta Village

Have any of you ever tried taking a local craft or art class during your travels? Did you discover a hidden talent, or was it a messy disaster like my first few attempts at the wheel? Feel free to share in the comments:)

Yes! Last year, I visited Khurja, a lesser-known town near Bulandshahr, famous for its pottery and ceramics. I explored workshops and warehouses, watching local artisans at work, although I didn’t try pottery myself. It was a fascinating experience! Your post brought back those memories. I had the opportunity to visit the Sanskriti Kendra Terracotta Museum, where I learned about the beautiful art of terracotta for the first time. The highlight for me was the magnificent Ayyanar Horse display in the open museum. I also discovered that Gorakhpur Terracotta, a traditional Indian craft with a GI Tag, is truly remarkable.
