@Sarbland thank you for sharing this wonderful story and phenomenal outstanding photos. You described everything in detail I would love to visit this place one day during winter and have a winter camping while enjoying the beauty of its scenery

Hi @Erna_LaBeau , I had the same feeling when I visited in summers. And you know what, luckily I traveled in winters and spent new year night there. In winters it’s way hard to stay but more adventurous. Temp drops to -20 °C. Camping not possible unless you have extreme weather camps. But can be managed in hotel rooms with fire chimney.

I’ll share my winter experience and will tag you.

Thank you.

-20C = -4F yeah it is pretty cold. We had winter camping and stayed in our van with propane heather the weather was -20F outside with wind chill. One of those cold nights brrr. There is a sleeping bag they call it mummy sleeping bag you may need one to camp in that kind of weather @Sarbland

@Erna_LaBeau , wow that’s scary cold… Yes only high altitude camps and sleeping bags can save. Stay safe and keep sharing your amazing stories.

Thank you so much @Sarbland for sharing your beautifull pictures and video.

Your 360 video of the dangerous road is incredible and I enjoyed so much watching it !

I have been travelling with you to Nanga Parbat and that is great especially during this lockdown period.

I haven’t travelled for so long and I miss it so much.

You post was like a sunshine for me !

@Julien44 , thank you so much. I’m glad it gives you some pleasure in this hard time.

You know I did that travel last year when we got relaxation on traveling after lockdown. And this year we are going to experience similar lockdown

Can I recommend you one thing? If you have VR goggles then try once to watch this video wearing that in 4K

Take good care and stay safe!

This is an absolutely adventure post @Sarbland . I loved the tour even without being there in person. Your 360 videos are awesome. It looks like I have one more place to visit in Pakistan when I get there. Thank you for sharing the detail experience. I wonder why the mountain is named as Nanga Parbat. I know the meaning of Nanga and by looking the lush greens, the mountain doesn’t look nanga at all. That reflection picture of the nanga parbat in the lake is the winner of all pictures. It’s mind blowing. Thank you for sharing the experience and once again, congratulations on being featured.

@SoniaK , thank you so much. I’m glad you liked the virtual tour to this amazing place. You are most welcome in Pakistan :pakistan: and this place is one of the recommendations.

Nanga is from Sanskirat means Naked, Tibetan name is Diamer. Probably Nanga because it’s second most visible mountain of Himalayas after Mount Everest and can be easily seen from various points.

I tell you what, people fall in love with this mountain, and I’m one of them
