Hello @AnshukMitra !

So Wadas are housing units of Maharashtra like Havelis of Rajasthan. The scale of the structure depends on who resides there. This was a massive Wada complex with a fortified wall, a temple, a private well, a water cistern, 2 courtyards and a toilet! The owner was a reputed man with lots of titles. There wadasare many grand Wadas all around Maharashtra!

Some of the famous Wadas around Pune-

  1. Shaniwar Wada

  2. Vishrambaug Wada

  3. Kelkar Wada

And many more local ones too! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello @955HIRO !

I’m so happy that you enjoyed reading it! Yes! The older the building gets the more character it has… people who have lived there shape these spaces. :slightly_smiling_face:

The painting of widow’s has cultural significance…the widow’s during that period were kept hidden and given house chores to keep them busy…I had to capture the painting and their emotions.

I am equally interested in Japanese art and culture too! The last book I read was “The Kitchen” by Banana Yoshimoto. I do follow Marie Kondo and love animated movies like Spirited Away by Hiromasa Yonebayashi! Would love to visit Japan one day :slightly_smiling_face:
