I know that spot @Sophia_Cambodia thanks for sharing, but I’m more looking for people’s lock down views. When we share the view from our lock down place we make the whole deal easier to bear for all of us because we’re all in this together.

@PaulPavlinovich I see Sadly, we are in this together. Here in Cambodia, we are not really in lockdown so I don’t have photos to share with you.
Wow!
Wow!
It looks just like a Painting just as most of your pictures.
It’s jaw-dropping awesome!
Thank you for your enthusiasm @Ewaade_3A you are making me blush.
No worries @Sophia_Cambodia I’m glad you’re not in lockdown. Hopefully the virus is contained there.
@PaulPavlinovich so far, we have only a bit over than 200 cases reported. We take pre-caution when traveling or go to crowded places. So, it means that we can still travel around, except cross the border.
Hello @PaulPavlinovich This window is in the kitchen and I like watching birds nesting near the house and finding good food in soil that has never been treated with chemical fertilizers. Around the house there is a very small garden, but which was very precious during the 2 long months of lockdown.
Here is the evening view from my window.
Our lockdown is pretty relaxed compared to what I saw Victoria Police shared on Twitter early today! We can go out as we please but 5 cities are fighting local breakouts. Unfortunately, about 70 percent of new cases are in groups with foreign decent. But nationwide only 23 are in hospital with corona and only two of them are on ventilators.
It’s a huge church built in the 1880-ties. As you can see the top is being renovated at the moment. We have a heatwave with temperatures around 30 degrees Celsius.
Our windows are able to keep the city noise nicely down at all times.
Cheers to everyone in quarantine.
Morten
@PaulPavlinovich I live on the ground floor of the building so I have this view of buildings and trees planted even before I was born
I love to see them grow, I also planted some more plants so I really enjoy seeing them everyday.
My morning starts with sound of sweet chirping birds, beautiful butterflies, squirrels and few cats who visit for food ?
This tiny Friend was the one I could capture others Just run away too fast ?
This cat comes to eat food, sits for a while and disappears ??
The songs you shared are a great soundtrack to our conversation here, @Erik_van_den_Ham . I haven’t listened to “Lemon Tree” in years.
Also, I’m so happy that you turned your story about the old Purple beech tree into a post. Really love the photos from the different seasons and the original poem at the end!
You have a keen eye for detail, @Ewaade_3A ! Those are actually simple brick roof tiles on the house on the right and something like metal panels on the house on the left. I don’t think I’ve seen stone coated roof tiles here, but maybe I need to start paying more attention. Thanks for that thought-provoking comment!
Hearing that song “Lemon tree” @DeniGu was long ago for me too. Somehow @PaulPavlinovich fruit plantation (I think he will be opening a small business soon) with lemon and oranges made me remember that song.
I think we need to have a fruit party at Paul’s place when the harvest is coming in. We can make Gin Tonic or a nice Mojito. I can make orange sorbet ice with caramelised orange peel.
It was so nice that the #monthlytopic on trees was on just the right moment. That gave me a nice opportunity to share a bit more about the Purple beech.
Please don’t have keen eyes like me, it puts me in trouble all the time.
The brick roof tiles are a replica of the ones I am talking about and who knows; maybe I am getting the name wrongly or maybe that’s what it is called in Bulgaria
To be honest, I’m not very familiar with the proper names and types of building materials, @Ewaade_3A .
I did a Google Search yesterday to double check what kind of tiles you were referring to. It returned results of tiles that looked slightly different in terms of material from what I can observe on the house in front of my window, so I thought they were indeed different altogether. Either way, it’s still awesome when you learn that local construction trends are similar to those in other countries!
Fruit parties are some of the best parties there could be, @Erik_van_den_Ham !
I’m curious, is the orange sorbet ice with caramelised orange peel your signature drink recipe? It definitely sounds like something worth trying a glass - or five - of.
Yes it is @DeniGu the orange sorbet ice is indeed my signature …did I mention I top it of with some Cointreau? I have a ice machine and this one is make regularly.
The Cointreau sounds like an important detail of the whole creation, @Erik_van_den_Ham ! And the fact that you have an ice machine lends a sense of professionalism to the preparation process.
By the way, several Local Guides had a virtual cocktail recipe sharing meet-up some time ago, and they shared the recap here. If you’re curious, check out what they were drinking (and preparing live on camera!), and you can also share your recipe there. Unless it’s a secret, of course!
Thanks for sharing awesome post, here in Mumbai we live in apartment, it is out of our reach to buy individual home those who have sold it big bldgs come up.
I don’t have balcony so my window I made board bit low in living room & bed room. In living room made this seat where I sit love this place can watch TV have tea ,one can sleep also.
2 nd picture is from other bedroom.
3 rd picture at night look .
This lockdown enjoy sitting here .
This view is beautiful @DENIT33 I love that amazing purple flower that is right in the window, it looks like an orchid? I see you also have a little visitor on the lawn. We feed the local birds so we get quite a lot of them in our yard.
That is an impressive building to have in your view @MortenCopenhagen you will be able to see the progress of the restoration on that architectural wonder of a building across the road. Great that you can open your windows. That seems to be unusual in the city.
I had no idea there were squirrels in India @FalguniP how fascinating. I had (wrongly) assumed they were North American. Love that white cat, that is a wise face - keeping just enough attention on you to maintain safety :). It is cool watching our gardens grow up and they are generally here for the long haul unlike us humans.
We eat a lot of fruit @Erik_van_den_Ham which is why we’re adding all the new fruit trees, that and things seem to love growing here by the sea. We had no trouble with citrus when we lived in the mountains but other fruits were elusive. My partner is planning on getting into preserving the fruit too. She loves her cooking hobbies so this will be a new adventure.
@DeniGu Cointreau over ice cream, now you’re talking :).
Wow, it seems like you live in a jungle @RosyKohli what a glorious verdant canopy you get to look out into. That would help maintain the serenity of your life.
Paul
Namaskar…
