Whenever I go to Asakusa, I just want to check out the 「杞下é›ģ器」 sign at Kaminarimon Gate.

雷門(Kaminari mon)æŖåŧãĢはéĸ¨įĨžé›ˇįĨžé–€(Fujin Raijin Mon) was destroyed in a fire during the Edo period and rebuilt in 1960 with a donation from Konosuke Matsushita.
The lantern reads 「杞下é›ģ器」(Matsushita Electric) and although the lantern itself is repaired or replaced every 10 years, the old company name remains the same even after the company name has changed.
