In response to the wonderful #Chai Pe Charcha challenge initiated by @TusharSuradkar, here’s my story.
My favourite hot beverage has always been Tea .
I’m a true tea drinker at heart. That’s what makes the topic “Chai Pe Charcha“especially close to me.
For a long time, I’ve been wanting to write about it, not just for a challenge, but to celebrate those quiet, meaningful moments, where we pause amidst chaos, share stories with local bhaiyas, and connect deeply over a simple cup of chai.
With every sip, conversations begin to flow and connections grow stronger. Whether it’s between two people or a group, tea builds bonds.
I fondly remember a bond I had built with a bhaiya outside the airport office. I’d often sit with him while he made his delicious, authentic adrak wali chai. Surrounded by office goers, I’d often meet strangers who opened their hearts over that one warm cup, sharing thoughts, feelings, even secrets.
Many ideas are born here ,life decisions, business plans, solutions to everyday problems ,all brewed and shared over a simple tea time conversation.
When I’m not at a roadside tea stall, you’ll likely find me sipping tea in a kulhar at Chaiyos. Drinking tea from a sustainable clay cup adds a special touch ,it’s a whole different experience.
I have had a couple of opportunities to do “chai pe charcha” in meet ups, i have attended , and it was in my mind to write about it .
This time, everything felt just right, Sawan ka mahina, the lush green surroundings of Wazirpur Tomb, and a warm gathering of like minded contributors.

Tables and chairs were set, tea poured in paper cups, and soon we were deep in conversation ,about community revival, map contributions, and ideas for future local engagement. A truly authentic exchange of thoughts. We clicked pictures, @Nomad_Enkay distributed stickers, and we captured the essence of that beautiful moment.
As the session ended, nature joined our celebration ,a light drizzle began, followed by a gentle breeze. We began to part ways. And just as I got into my cab, the skies opened up and it poured heavily.
What a perfect way to end a meaningful day ,with hearts full, minds inspired, and memories steeped in chai.
Thank you
