The Meetup in Pune on November 9 was a celebration of 100 meetups by local guides in India in 2025 ![]()
Local guides from all over India participated.
This was a full-day event, and local guides started with shopping at Shivani Gift Shop and Sahara Novelties for items to be used during the meetup:
- Plastic Balls.
- Balloons.
- Paper Cups.
- Sweets.
- Cold Drinks.
- Fruit Juice.
Local guides added reviews and storefront photos at these shops and other places in the market on Google Maps.
The venue of the meetup was a lavish poolside clubhouse.
As a host, I insisted that all local guides participated in the meetup with equal zeal, enthusiasm, and contributions.
I ensured that the meetup does not turn into an event where only 3-4 local guides host and the others participate as mere bystanders.
Local guides learned that a meetup is not an event.
Most local guides carried gifts, such as badges, cards, stickers, calendars, and chocolates, to exchange at the event.
In this photo, the calendars on the left were generously shared by @TravellerG, the badges by @Mahesh_dj07 and me, stickers by @ShubhamWaman and @NERKARAMIT.
Many local guides attended the meetup for the first time.
So we had a round of introductions.
Local guides enthusiastically took photos of the swag items.
After this, local guides got down to playing the first fun game using plastic balls and paper cups. It was great fun as Team Blue won against Team Red ![]()
Local guides enthusiastically captured these fun moments using 360° cameras, a huge thanks to @Sushrutsk and @AjitSahane, who generously carried their advanced photography gear to the event ![]()
Local guides joined the meetup with their families.
It turned out to be a fun event with attendees of all ages participating and enjoying the fun games ![]()
Local guides from all over India attended the meetup online via Google Meet:
Local guides shared small bites of snacks to help everyone stay energized for the various games.
The next fun game was to throw the ball through the hole in the location icon.
I made this using scrap plywood and painted it with my hands. This also served as a selfie point for local guides at the meetup.
The next fun game that local guides found the most thrilling of all was filling cups with balls while keeping the balloon floating in the air all the time

The fifth and final game enjoyed by local guides was ‘guess the combo’, wherein Team Blue arranged the plastic balls in paper cups, and Team Red would try to match them, to win points.
Local guides did not forget the take plenty of selfies at the meetup in Pune.
After this, we walked over ot the nearby food joint for lunch.
Here, local guides proudly displayed the calendars shared by @TravellerG.
Everyone ordered Misal Pav Thali.
I also shared personalized multicolored name cards and badges for all attendees.
The other cards that were shared with everyone at the meetup by me were:
- Thank You Card.
- Meetup Attendance Card.
- Meetup Souvenir Card.

After having lunch, we came back to the pool to play water sports
Local Guides enjoyed water sports like water polo, throwball, while a few others simply enjoyed swimming.
Local guides then enjoyed taking a few more group selfies to call it a day.
