Has anyone received any perks from being a local guide ?
Other than being the product that helps to freely generate information for a multiple billion dollar company that just constantly studies us to sell us stuff ?and the fact that you mention something in a conversation around a Google device and next thing ya know you get get content about said thing .
I think the game even upped cause I got an advertisement about something I was only thinking about .

Lol I got a mail in 2019 and Never received it even after filling up all required information. It got lost, god knows where or even if it was shipped at all or not. Only some out of many who get these reward mail, actually get the reward. Rest it’s luck! and no one in this community have any answers for the same. I’m level-7, but after contributing so much and getting absolutely nothing in return, except some fake reward mails - I lost Interest in contributing!!

I too haven’t recieved any perks and benefits or gift as told by this program. I am contributing for 5 year now once got socks gift link but not received yet a years passed . No value for contributor.

Need more proof? In my opinion, if you really want to be a part of Local Guides Connect, you should start from zero, clean up your profile of stolen photos, and really get familiar with the ground rules of the program you have accepted and start following them.

Local guide is a volunteering program, you won’t get anything for contributing on Google maps but Google will recognize you as a Local Guide for your contribution. Anyway, you will get points for your every contributions on Google Maps and you can raise up your local guides levels.
However, Google Local Guides perks depends on quality contribution on Google Maps; Google sends some perks to Local Guides for high-quality contributions. Moreover, to receive perks, you must be subscribed to emails about them and contribute regularly on Maps. Please be sure that your email preferences have perk emails enabled by visiting your Local Guides settings .
