Thanks for the update, @MarcoDavoli
In my case this morning the error appeared after 270 roads.
Then, after the update in Maps , it restarted to work, to appear again after around 470 roads added

This is interesting @Designer_Biswajit
45 long roads were enough to block the system?
Do you mean that you started to add the roads after an error, or did you added other roads previously?
I guess the system doesnât allow us to draw the road after drawing certain distance. But my guess may not be right.
Hi @Designer_Biswajit ,
as you said we are in the âguess modeâ ⌠This is the reason why I propose to do some test.
Yesterday I post this results of my test.
At the moment (8:30 A.M.) Iâm still affected by the daily (âŚ) âOoops Errorâ but as soon as it disappear Iâll try to draw only few long, very long, roads to see if the system locks me out sooner.
Thanks for testing
Take care
Marco
Dear @MarcoDavoli Thank you so much for your thorough testing of the system with different combinations and for sharing the updates. Your updates are very valuable to our forum.
I am with you, @MarcoDavoli , waiting for the error to disappear, and ready to start (again) with one of my dreams: Adding the long roads of the Chilean Cordillera in Maps. Large and straight roads built for trucks, roads that connect remote villages in the middle of the Andes, or to copper mines. Chance of them getting approved: zero. But it will be a fun day
Roads that develop at an altitude between 1600 and 2000 meters, without trees, straight and clearly visible from the satellite.
My list is ready to be [finally] used
â
Ciao @ErmesT ,
As soon as the âOoopsâ error gave me the green light to resume my work, I kicked into high gear. But the fun didnât last long. Iâm back at a standstill!
This after 127 approval mails. ![]()
As said I was concentrated in Marocco where there are still many long roads to edit. Some of them as really low chances to be approved. I understand that AI really suffer when has to recognize a road in the desert or when the contrast is quite low.
Anyway now I have to wait till tomorrow.
LIST
Iâm studying LISTS because I would like to them for the project I made for the Park. Ah, good news, last week the system finally finished to approve all my streetview. I just missed few track because of the bad GPS records. Still working to recover but, in the worst case, in spring time Iâll be there again.
Maybe we can orgnise a meet-up with the PlasticFree group of La Maddalena and you.
Ciao
Marco
Ciao @MarcoDavoli , hi @Designer_Biswajit
Iâve just made a test adding around 310 Km of roads. The shortest was 3.6 Km, all the others were longer that 10 Km, the with 2 longer than 46 Km each.
At the moment I have no issues.
I am sure no one of the roads added today will be approved, because all of them are in a not populated area.
Letâs try now to add some Standard road
Thank you dear CM @ErmesT for sharing your test results. Itâll help us understand the issues better and improve our performance.
Hi @ErmesT
I am waiting to know whether the 10 km and 46 km long road drawn by you has been approved.
Regards ![]()
Sorry @ErmesT ,
Iâm trying to understand how to check the quantity of KM i draw or that are approved but I do not understand how can I.
From your message seems that you know how; if so, can you explain me how I can check.
In roadmapper is clearly show but in mapsâŚ
Thanks
Marco
@MarcoDavoli and @ErmesT following your discussion it just came to mind, possibly it is not the length in kilometers, but the number of points. I mean a very curvy road of 1 km might count more than a straight line of 10 km Just a thought.
Ciao @WilfriedB ,
I was thinking about it few hours ago and that will be my next test; just counting the points I use to draw.
Letâs see.
I was asking to Ermes if there is, or how, I can know how many km I draw. Actually I can only to an estimation.
BTW again today, another time the âOoopsâ
Take care
Marco
Number of points added to Maps is an interesting Hypothesis, @MarcoDavoli , because a road is in fact a series of points (with their coordinates) connected to each other, as we âroadersâ know very well.
Maps is not telling us the length of what we are adding with the Roads editor, even if they have the information, @MarcoDavoli . In fact, when during an edit we select a part of an existing road, the length of the selected segment[s] is shown on the left top corner.
So to know the length of the long roads submitted four days ago I had to measure them using the âMeasure distanceâ widget available in Google Maps for desktop.
I am quite sure one of the long roads (10.25 km) has been approved today, @Designer_Biswajit .
I could try to select the road with the editor, but unfortunately I still have a message of âserver errorâ so I cannot load anything in Maps at the moment. Plus, I am in âoopsâ mode from last night ![]()
The more I edit/draw the more Iâm convinced that is related to ânumber of pointsâ dear @ErmesT
Today I login with an old account (not my one) with only 12 roads count and did this:
Me, you and other roads hunter enthusiast try different approach to understand what can cause this error. We have collected so many informations and, now, I do not know what else we can do hoping to bring more info that, maybe, can help some GM to study this case.
Iâll keep editing hoping to receive good news ![]()
Thanks for all
Ciao
Marco
Hello @ErmesT
It is very happy news for me that 10 km+ long road has been approved. Because I love to draw long roads. Although I did not draw a 10 km long road. But I regularly draw 5-6 km long roads. And they are approved.
Anyway, Thanks for giving me this exciting news. Regards ![]()
