@HiroyukiTakisawa Flying trees?.. I have never head about it. In my childhood we with my sister tried to grow usual bonsai in a flower pot (pine also). But this task appear to be not so easy and we had only one way as a result: to plant this pine in the forest, where it feeled much better :slightly_smiling_face: .

Such a wonderful writer you are @Austinelewex . Great post! I especially love trees and pine trees are one of my favorites as they have a certain beauty they add to the environment. It’s interesting to know Ngwo is the first place the British settled in Enugu. Guess where the pines came from :). I never knew this. Thanks for sharing this information. Here in Lagos, we have pine trees but they are found in specific locations of past British influence like the Nigerian Railway Corporation HQ in Ebute-Metta and British legacy schools. Quite an interesting read!

Oh really, it may be the British that brought it along.

This is great content! It is true that the pine tree is not very commonly seen everywhere in Nigeria so I always make sure to enjoy the views in the Ngwo Pine Forest in Enugu by taking as much lovely pictures as I can.

I love it when the gentle blowing winds pass through them

@Austinelewex

In Cambodia, it is rare too. We only see them at Kirirom national park. I have written in my post here: Friendly camping site at Kirirom. Google Map is here.
