Photographic exploration of Global Vipassana Pagoda, Gorai, Borivali, Mumbai.

Very nice post @Rohan10 I always heard of this mandir but never got or made an opportunity to visit this place, reason being it on a western line may be. So good to see it through your lense on connect platform. Your photos really make the imagination easier.

Many thanks for this one.

Beautiful photographic exploration @Rohan10

Its unbelievable, that the 78m towering hall could accommodate 8000 people at a time…

Photographs regarding :wheelchair: accessibility is more useful…

The main hall, garden, painting gallery is well maintained and it is sure that we all become happy when we visit this place…

Thank you for the wonderful post…

I have 2 doubts:

  1. The height of Ashok pillar is mentioned as 3.2m. But it doesn’t looks so. Can you confirm?

  2. Whether all religion is permitted inside the main hall?

  3. From the Google map view, It seems to the location is ecofriendly and fully equipped with solar power. Whether it is under construction/ commissioned?

I think this is a Environmentally friendly places if equipped with 100% solar energy. @Smita_Patil

Hi @SachinVijayan I must thank you very much for your careful reading and pointing out mistake. Following are the answers to your 3 doubts.

  1. Ashoka Pillar height is 13.2 m. By mistake I wrote 3.2m which is now corrected.

  2. In Buddhism there is no any restrictions for any religion. All religions are equally welcome. It’s a meditation centre and everyone is welcome here.

  3. Thank you for adding the Google map top view. It’s very useful to understand the location. Yes solar panels are commissioned here.

Yes, you rightly said thay it’s environment friendly place.

Thank you so much for visiting my post and commenting.
