Even if one does not buy a ND filter , I found some other ways to achieve the same thing … Although not as easy as just putting a filter on I really liked doing it
I went and looked , asked , borrowed any old , and I mean old , Lens from second hand shops , from garage sales , throw aways , dust collectors …
I then tried to find the correct fittings , or converters for my camera , and I have even used @2 X converts
Some photographers call them “slow lens” , It takes allot of practice and trial and error to get the feel and movement , even in the above photo you can see how much dust and dirt was in the 2 X converter and old 85 - 120 LensI had a problem with my Favorite lens , it was never able to hold a Filter in place due to a dent on the rim
Thank you very much for your response, dear @Tejal
Good suggestion… dear @Mongoose … Thanks for your contribution, too!
Bent rim is curse with many people, with multiple Lenses. (I too have one, but not the main ones)

not sure if you covered this @TravellerG but ND filters make a huge difference when shooting video. shutter speed can really make a difference there, and ND filters let you control it on a smart phone or other fixed aperture video device.
Dear LG @SuzanneN , thanks for your response.
Kindly come forward with your suggestions & ideas - you are welcome.
Sorry, I have not covered Videos in this; just focused on introducing ND filters in ONE angle.
I will be very happy, if you could come with your experience.
Once again thanks
