@Sophia_Cambodia замечательный пикник у вас
Except for the rain, everything else was wonderful. Thank you for your comment @AndreiLaitman
@Sophia_Cambodia hope you enjoyed the outing
Hello dear @Sophia_Cambodia
Thank you for interesting facts about the river Mekong.
It is curious that the island ,where you had camping with picnic exists only in a dry season. In a rainy season the is water instead islands.
Do you like fishing?
I think you have there perfect time, because it is romantic.
Thank you for you nice post and photos @Sophia_Cambodia
Best wishes,
Inna
Thank you for reading my articles @helga19 it is true that the island does not appear in rainy season when there is more water or raining. It disappears into water. I was on the island with beach but this shows that I was in the water.
Yes, I did except for the rain at night on our camps @And12-X2
I like fishing too but we were there for video producing so got no time @helga19 our driver was able to do do some fishing with the net. The fish was yummy
@Sophia_Cambodia thanks a lot for this post, you told us a fantastic experience and as always you are very accurate and your posts are full of details I had read of places that disappear from heartly maps because in some months they are covered with water, but I have never visited one; your picture in the water was too funny!
ciao!
Thank you dear @PattyBlack for your compliment and inspiration for me to keep writing and sharing more about my travel experience.
Well yes hehe it was funny that it shows I was in the middle of the river but I was actually not in the water. I was camping on the beach of the island but the Google Map cannot detect it because they are not big island that is visible. It only appears in dry season.
Thank you @Sophia_Cambodia for your reply. The location is unique!!!
I like your example of map.
You have a perfect picnic with the yummy fish.
My best regards,
Have a nice weekend with the excellent mood!

Thank you dear @helga19 I’m well and it was so much fun with my team over the beach. All the best
I love both camping and kayaking along rivers @Sophia_Cambodia so this would be my kind of thing. What you’ve shared is one of the ways the earth changes around us so quickly, your island will be gone in the next flood or become permanent dry land when the river moves its course.
It is funny to see your location share in the middle of a river.
Paul
Of course @PaulPavlinovich the locals told me that every year, by June all islands and beaches disappear but now it has less water, so do fish are less and less for consumption. That’s one of the climate change that affects our lives.
Oh, I only found out when I tried to view where I was in Google Map. Surprisingly, it shows that I was in the middle of the Mekong river.
This is a fantastic post about the camping place in Mekong river. I love fishes, and if I have the opportunity to visit Cambodia, I will undoubtedly taste the local delicacies.
By the way, @Sophia_Cambodia which is your favourite fish?
Thank you for your time reading and praise my writing @AnshukMitra I love fish and many dishes made of fish. They are good in different ways. Some are best when eating raw, some are best stir fry and others are very good for soup. I can not really tell you which one I like, simply I love many of them.
