Fabulous picture @MasaruKamikura
I remember this construction site at an early stage, 1 year ago.
Definitely. After the last breakfast, I took the wrong bus to Nakano instead of Shinjuku (I wanted to go to the Tokyo Metropolitan Building).
I have taken a fuel cell buses when I visited Miraikan in Odaiba. Definitely one of the best ride quality as you mentioned. The air con was cold, helped me survive the heat of Tokyo.
I definitely want to hear your explanations in the future about that.
Herzlichen Glückwunsch @MasaruKamikura zur Teilnahme an dieser tollen Veranstaltung und danke für die netten Einblicke
Thanks for sharing this incredible experience @MasaruKamikura
Great recap @MasaruKamikura ! It was amazing to meet you, and to participate in the trash pick up event that you organized. See you next time!
@ALG87
I think there are several factors that affect the ride comfort of a fuel cell bus.
The air conditioning is probably the same as other Japanese buses.
The first factor is that electricity is generated from hydrogen, so there is no vibration or noise.
It is driven by an electric motor, has no gear operation, and also uses acceleration control technology.
The lower part is wide, there are few of the strange seats that are common on city buses, and the seats themselves are quite comfortable.
The interior lighting and various displays have also been improved.
The route mainly runs along the coastal area on newly constructed roads, so there are no sharp curves or narrow roads.
Although the bus is comfortable and environmentally friendly, it is reported to cost four times as much as a regular bus.
Thank you for sharing your great journey during Connect Live in Tokyo @MasaruKamikura
@MasaruKamikura Hi!
Glad to meet you there. You are so friendly LG. The Local Guides team did such a great event in Tokyo.
Happy Guiding!
I’m sorry that I forget to reply this message.
I have watched again the video I took from inside a fuel cell bus (when I was in Odaiba), and you are right. It goes really smooth, but I just too focus to got some fresh air from the air conditioner because of the hot weather. The seats are cozier than ordinary bus. Unfortunately I just tried for a short hop from Odaiba-Kaihinkoen to Miraikan. The price is higher as you said, if I count it for the ratio of amount of money paid per kilometer (compared to ordinary bus like Odaiba Rainbow bus). But it was really comfortable to take the bus.
