My edits keep rejecting

@DeniGu

However, the rest of the message does seem misaligned, so I will share this as feedback with the team.

I feel like they restored my account, but for some technical reasons, not all permissions were restored completely. Please let me know if you’ll get a response to this feedback.

it’s good to keep in mind that some edits may be more challenging to make for a variety of reasons

It does not matter what kind of edits I’ll submit, the result is the same. Even edits on objects I’ve added earlier on the map, are being declined.

@DeniGu do we have any updates about my case?

@DeniGu another reminder :slight_smile:

What I can else do on my side? I am stuck :expressionless_face:

Thank for tagging me in this conversation, @LONGMAN
An edit is usually rejected if the AI is not able to verify it using information publicly accessible online.
If you try to submit the same edits again after they are rejected you can be identified as a “bad actor” and in this case all your future edits may be blocked. In fact this is what your video is showing: an identical edit repeated 3 times. Trying to submit an identical edit more than once is absolutely wrong. The second time the filter will not react in a different way, but it will start to flag you.

Adding a phone number is not a simple addition. Is the phone number registered in a public directory, and associated with the business that you are trying to edit? If not, trying to add it is just a waste of time.

Considering what I mentioned above, you should first check if there are restrictions in your account by using this link: https://myaccount.google.com/restrictions

If you have no restrictions most probably the edits are rejected simply because Google is not able to verify them. A search in Google about the information available online about the place you are trying to add may help you ,to understand if you have a chance to have your edit approved. If not, it’s better to give up

@ErmesT

Thank you for your answer!

No, I have no restrictions

Do you want to say that everything what is added on Google Maps, on the fly verified by Google? I can make you sure, maps has many fake places and these could not be verified, they just don’t exists.
For example, someone added this place https://maps.app.goo.gl/1aUNeLthqTA22FL59 It’s named “რუხაძის ჟიმაობის ადგილი”, on English it means “Rukhadze’s place for fu*ing”. How Google verified this and approved? :smiley: This place does not exists and also, name is obviously against the Maps rules.
Btw, this is the main reason why I need the edit functional back, I want to remove such fake locations. I tried to remove now, but as expected, my edit automatically was rejected.

I am pretty sure, they will be automatically rejected in seconds. But, anyways, I will try.

If not, it’s better to give up

I can not give up :neutral_face: I have a huge amount of contributions to Google Maps for my region and I want to continue doing that.
AFAIK, I need someone from Google Maps Team, who can dig deeper in to my problem and say why I am not able to add places and edit them. And maybe help to fix that.

Hi @LONGMAN,

Following a further investigation, can you please share if you are still experiencing this issue?

But I am also curious, what was the cause and how it was fixed :slightly_smiling_face:
