My added places are shown as not accepted while they're already added!

Thank you @MortenCopenhagen but I t i don’t think it’s the reason.

That happened to ALL my added places, even happened to some places I asked the owner myself before adding, so no one before me did it.

Thank you @MoniDi

Can we make sure that they are working on it? Can we ensure I will get a response from the Google team?

It’s been a whole Month now and no feedback from them.

I’m still freezing my Google contributions so I hope I will get my activities back again when they fix it.

@Mad_Darsh,

Please be advised that I have reminded the team about your issue but they don’t have any update at this point. Sometimes it takes longer than several days or a month to resolve an issue. Thank you for your patience!

That said, you don’t need to stop contributing to Google Maps as this issue may not affect adding photos/reviews, for example.

Thank you @MoniDi

My activities freeze was just an objection from my side to make sure that my voice was heard.

I don’t have any other way to express my disappointment

Hello, it’s been more than TWO months now since my problem was posted here.

Is it normal that the Google team hasn’t replied yet?

@MoniDi @ErmesT @MortenCopenhagen

Hello @Mad_Darsh,

I’ve just reached out to the relevant team for some updates. However, the issue hasn’t been resolved yet. Have you tried editing other places and adding photos? Does the same happen to other locations? Please let me know if the issue still persists. Thank you!

Hello @MoniDi

Yup, I’m still having the same issue too.

Tried to add a new unique place with photos and FULL details and it was rejected, tried to add again but it’s been bending now for almost a month!!

I really don’t know what to say

Thank you @Mad_Darsh, for trying to add new places again. Do they appear on the Map just like you shared here?
Please also share the Google Maps links, if you have them.
I’ve reached out to the relevant team sharing the updates from you.

Thank you @MoniDi

No, it does not appear on the map because it wasn’t accepted.

I tried first to add the place and as you can see the (7) number beside the place I’ve added ALL the detailed information, and it was rejected for no reason.

Tried again to add but it’s pending now for almost a month as you can see in the picture above.

Hi @Mad_Darsh,

Not accepted or pending is still okay. The issue we’re trying to resolve here is that you’ve previously added a POI that shows as “not accepted” while it appears on the Map. You shared this here.

I understand your frustration for adding new places that are not accepted, but please be advised that the Google algorithms analyze different factors, such as the information submitted, the location of the input, your mapping activity, and other factors to make sure everything added to the map is accurate and follows our guidelines.

There are regions around the world where there simply is not enough information for some edits to come through successfully or immediately, and it certainly has nothing to do with you. The more information you (or other Local Guides) collect about a place, the better chance your input has of getting through.

Last but not least, make sure to read this topic: How to get Edits and New Places Approved.

It’s a THREE Months now and still no reply yet from the Google team!.

Wow!

@MoniDi @ErmesT

Hi @Mad_Darsh,

There is no update on your issue, hence no reply here. I’ve reached out to the relevant team to check and advise. Thank you for your patience!

Hello everyone
Referring to my previous post:

My added places are shown as not accepted while they’re already added!

After receiving more than 4.2 million views and nearly 1,400 contributions, I have decided to stop all of my Google contributions. This decision comes after not receiving a response from the Google team for about 12 days.

The lack of feedback or communication from Google for those who dedicate their time and effort to help others has been disappointing.

I hope this clarifies how things work and how this situation can unfold when you genuinely need assistance or clarification.

Thank you to everyone who tried to help; it’s truly appreciated, but the lack of engagement has been disheartening.

A Googler responded to you twice. Getting issues escalated is something you should appreciate, and it is not unusual that it takes weeks or months for issues to get fixed.

With about 2 billion of monthly users on a free app/service it is not realistic to expect the teams to provide individual support in my opinion. The teams never interact and responds directly to users. All you can hope for is MoniDi responding in the thread when/if she hears back from the team.

It is understandable that you chose not to make further contributions.

@MortenCopenhagen I already understood and appreciated it as seen in the previous post.
But maybe it was a little bit too high an expectation from me to get a response from the Google team in less than 12 days? So yes, it’s my fault then I have to say that.
And I really understand the number of people using that using a free service - it’s free for us not for the Google team, right? - but I was expecting more help from them, and I expectations were my mistake and I have to confess it.

I understand you, my friend. I got the same problem: added places are published, but no point counted.
That’s unfair. It’s difficult to put in effort when your work isn’t appreciated.
I wrote to the support team, now waiting for the respond. Hope, this problem will be solved.
Maybe your contributions will be awarded in a while, and you change your mind. I hope, you inform us, if the solution appears. :handshake:

Thank you dear @Hakeem_Akt for supporting.
And yeah I saw your post for a similar issue.
And I saw that you didn’t have any feedback yet either.
It’s really very disappointing, my added places always take time and effort, I even add a lot of Unique pictures, working hours, categories, phone numbers, and every tiny single detail.
And it ended up for nothing!

Dang… sorry man. I don’t blame you one bit though. The lack of communication on the platform is mind-boggling. Your comment is the #1 issue on the forum and it gets ignored. Crazy how the solution is to wait weeks or even months; or to send a report to one person, who is overwhelmed. It’s absolutely atrocious and there’s no excuse for that. Honestly, sad to see as a Google lover. Best of luck on your other platform :oncoming_fist:t2:

I appreciate your support dear @jeckelbarger
I can’t hide it but I feel very disappointed honestly, I thought that Google would be more interested in people who give all their time and effort to help others for free
You know it’s almost 20 days and no feedback yet, am I exaggerating?
