What kind of modification you suggested? A change of the address on the business?
Why is my edit status “Pending” or “Not Applied”? will help you to understand more about the approval status of an edit
Please note that Local Guides cannot change the informations on the map layer (Street, squares, rivers, and more) but of course we can inform Google Maps of the error. We do this sending a Feedback. Follow this link to the Google Maps Help page for a detailed explanation: Report an error on the map
